Improve solder joint meshes

Hi, this might be a feature request or simply not.

I am looking to see the solder joints of the smd in blender. I don't see them. Also, threre is a tool that can model solder joints and we can integrate it into this git hub. take a look at this link

SMD solder joints get created for almost all Pads, they are just not that big/visible.

Currently the meshes for all solder joints are basically "procedurally generated" based on the Pad data, but don't take the actual footprint 3D models into account.

I agree that especially for SMD Pads they could be improved, but I'm pretty sure you could already get big improvements by tweaking the currently used generation code a bit.
I've also thought about using Blender's Metaballs for this, but decided against it because of the added complexity when I first implemented the feature.
Using the external tool you linked, would probably be way out of scope for this, as integrating an external tool/library like that into a Blender extension is not trivial at all and would require a ton of work. So if you want to look into this, I'd recommend going with one of the other options.
