cannot find symbol error

Hey I am getting started with db2rest.. but encountered cannot find symbol on line 100 i.e. config.setMaximumPoolSize(connectionDetail.maxConnections());

/Projects/db2rest/api-rest/src/main/java/com/homihq/db2rest/jdbc/config/DbServiceConfiguration.java

To give more detail, I checked in DatabaseConnectionDetail and could not find maxConnections method in it.

Basically, I wanted to pick any open issue and contribute.

So I cloned it to local and understanding how it works.
Currently, I am trying to build this in local. I was running ./mvnw clean compile which failed with the mentioned error(screenshot attached).

Please help.

I am suspecting my settings.xml file has some issues.
