Is it possible to have stuff like comments, and use of extensions such as adblock? Sponsorblock?

sponsorblock already works using mpv ytld opts in mpv config
there are no ads though so am not sure what you meant there
comments are definitely planned

though i prefer the implementation not to interfere with the players output and maybe even be able to traverse replies dynamically
