GP-5 power/USB

Just a quick question to clarify if the GP-5 should only be powered by USB (Waveshare 4.3b) OR the 9v power input, or can you plug in both safely?

I know the Tonex One should only be one or the other.

Hi. I usually power the GP5 from USB out of the controller.
I haven't personally tried connecting 9v at the same time.

The Tonex One is actually OK to power with both connected at once. Early on I didn't think you could but its mentioned in the user manual as being OK. Not sure if the GP5 is the same though.

I've had a look around the interweb and it appears it's fine to have the GP-5 plugged in to both too.

Now have 2 Tonex One controllers working simultsneously with an Airstep pedal (using 2 different midi channels). The Airstep is controlling changes to both the Tonex One and GP-5, and all working nicely. So much so, I'm considering popping in a 3rd controller as the Airstep supports 3 bluetooth devices!!!!

Will post a breakdown once I have nailed the new setup!
