external wired FS on a Waveshare4.3B

i've made the controller, with Wired Footswitches (external) to my Waveshare4.3B.
i follow all the procedure from here with the SX1509

i have 4 switch, the same than the tutorial, wired exactly in the same way, i've cut the small bridge and weld the bridge...
everything is done :)

BUT, my FS just work as:
select preset 1
select preset 2
select preset 3
select preset 4

while i would have preset up and down etc...
so i've connected the board to my phone by wifi and go to the config "eternal expander footswitches"
selected preset switch layout 1x4
FX1:
foot switch number: 1
control change number: preset UP

FX2:
foot switch number: 2
control change number: preset UP

something strange, i realize a bit later, i think it's working but for example, when i will press FS #2 lot of time, it will switch the preset up, but back then to my preset number 2 in my list...

any idea of the problem?

is there a bank switch also?

Hi. If you are using the footswitch in effects mode, then you should set the Footswitch Preset mode to disabled.
Otherwise both the events will occur and they will "fight" each other as you see.

The Tonex One doesn't have banks itself. I have my own banking but to use that you would have to use the footswitches in preset mode (e.g. 1x4) and not as FX switches.
