[Compat]: PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 prevents Paradox launchers from working

Paradox games the launcher won't start. Anno 1800 has problems with the launcher as well.

Description

This is the upstream bug and it's due to disabling Mutter for window decorations. If I change to proton experimental, it doesn't happen anymore. Seems like there's some more fixes in experimental.

I'm on KDE 6.6.

Please file a proper compatibility report, I need at least a proton log demonstrating the failure, to see how proton was run, what options where used, how it failed. If you are enabling PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 then remove that option, many launchers have issues with it. Or you can try using PROTON_NO_WM_DECORATION=1 to disable the decorations. Without a proper bug report, I can only do guess-work.

I've tried with PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 and without. PROTON_NO_WM_DECORATION=1 isn't a fix because this works in experimental.

From your log I can see the following options being enabled

please remove all of them and try again, I'd like to see if it works as barebones as possible.

I'll see if I have any games using the paradox launcher in the meantime.

I've figured it out. PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 (thought i tested without) is causing problems. Doesn't cause problems in experimental.
