WhiteHouse presidential actions feed: filters, document types, and browse UX #276

Description

@ryparker-ai-assistant

Summary

Make the presidential actions feed easier to browse by improving filters, document-type clarity, and cross-linking into related pages.

Problem Statement

The actions feed is already one of the core value props of WhiteHouse.wiki, but it should be easier to answer basic questions like: what changed today, what type of document is this, and how do I explore similar actions? A stronger browse experience will make the feed feel more like a daily-use product.

Scope

  • Improve filter model and browse affordances
  • Clarify document types and status metadata
  • Strengthen topic and related-action navigation
  • Improve scanning for recent high-volume action days

Out of Scope

  • New collector sources for additional action types
  • Full document summarization pipeline work
  • Policy analysis features

Acceptance Criteria

  • Users can meaningfully narrow or browse the actions feed without guesswork
  • Document types are clearly labeled and understandable
  • Related topics or similar actions are easier to explore
  • High-volume days remain readable rather than overwhelming
