WSL infinite update

I had issue with WLS update, powershell just shows "Check the latest WSL updates" (i leaved ps for a day).
Fixed by "wsl --update" instead of "wsl --update --web-download" it just installs new wsl version, original string ain't work for me.

tried to run it several times inc. vpn, only string change "wsl --update --web-download" to "wsl --update" helps (tested without vpn), ig WSL version that installs before update is too old to use "--web-download" part

with "wsl --update" it just run, installation proceeds without any issue even when you install psbbn with content to disk

Too old? Did you install all Windows updates before running the script, as instructed in troubleshooting section of the readme?

yes i did, but i doubt that 2 week old release is comes with out dated installation script 🤔
My initial version of windows 10 is 21h2, but i updated it to 22h2 with all updates (even security to yesterday's day)

I don't know what to say tbh. There's hundreds of daily users, I guess a majority are using Windows, yet you are the only one to ever experience this issue. Glad you figured out a workaround.

Well i tried to install 4.1.0-ish (latest version on 21th of february) before, i had same issue and though that's it's a bug that will be fixed.
I hope people who will have or has same bug as me, will find that fix

My initial version of windows 10 is 21h2, but i updated it to 22h2 with all updates (even security to yesterday's day)

i wrote it in very confusing form.
i updated win10 to 22h2 in 2024, all updates (even optional) is installed to dates 24-26 april (when i tried to troubleshoot wsl and windows itself, tbh i though at first it was my packet injector or network issue), latest win update was in 27th
