This function is only used for a select few FC3 function definitions. It's not used anywhere else, and it really shouldn't be. We can create a defineFloatFromGetter function if we need one down the line, but I don't know that we will.
At the very least, we should consider moving this function definition out of Module.lua and into the FC3 module file
