Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We are committed to making participation in the DevopsLab Git Mastery project a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:

Positive Behaviors:

  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Providing constructive feedback and accepting it gracefully
  • Focusing on learning and helping others learn
  • Being patient with beginners and different skill levels
  • Sharing knowledge generously and kindly

Unacceptable Behaviors:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
  • Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information without permission
  • Inappropriate or unprofessional conduct

Learning Environment Values

This is a learning-focused repository:

  • No question is too basic - We welcome all skill levels
  • Mistakes are learning opportunities - Don't shame errors
  • Collaboration over competition - Help each other succeed
  • Patience with learners - Everyone starts somewhere
  • Focus on practical value - Keep discussions relevant to Git mastery

Enforcement

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying standards and will take appropriate corrective action in response to unacceptable behavior.

Consequences:

  • Warning - For minor violations
  • Temporary ban - For repeated violations
  • Permanent ban - For serious violations

Reporting

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by:

All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
