I could not add the same server with local address and the public address

Description

Whenever I try to add the same server which is already added with the local address with a new public address, only the new address shows up.

Why do I need this?
When I am at my home, I would like to access the server through my local ip. This will allow me to stream the movie or download it with much faster speed.

Or an networking feature that will allow me to access via local ip when I am using a particular network would be appreciated.
This is available in immich. Attaching a screenshot for your reference.

Also a sincere thanks for quickly fixing the issue I posted earlier on subtitles. Thank you.

Reproduction steps

1. Go to the servers, add a server with its local ip. 
2. Then click add servers option. And enter its public address that can be accessed over the internet. 
3. Use the same username and password. 
4. The old server will be replaced with the new one. 
5. Ideally it should allow me to access the server in two different modes.

I have seen the same option with other apps, however I'm not entirely sure whether this is something the app should handle.
Looks to me like this is something that should be setup correctly on the server itself? When properly configured Jellyfin should handle internal routing itself, even when using an external dns.

I haven't seen any server handle this. This is a feature available on the client side. Infuse has it, Immich has it, streamyfin are few

Normally this is handled by using something like a reverse proxy. I will have a look considering that it seems to be a popular option among self hosted apps.
