Summary

Is your feature request related to a problem?

Yes. Occasionally, video encodes or found subtitle files (SRT/ASS) do not perfectly align with the release. Currently, if the subtitles are off by a few seconds, there is no way to adjust them within the client, making the content difficult or impossible to watch comfortably.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to see a Subtitle Delay/Offset setting added to the playback interface. This would allow users to manually shift the subtitle timing forward or backward in small increments (e.g., 100ms or 500ms steps).

Key functionality would include:

A "Subtitle Offset" option in the playback settings/audio-subtitle menu.

The ability to input a positive delay (if subs appear too early) or a negative delay (if subs appear too late).

Hotkeys for quick adjustment during playback (e.g., z and x or g and h, similar to VLC or MPC-HC).

Describe alternatives you've considered
Manual editing: Users currently have to exit the app, use external tools like Subtitle Edit to resync the file, and reload it—which is a significant hassle.

Searching for new files: Finding a different subtitle track that matches the specific CRC/Hash of the video, which isn't always possible for niche releases.

Additional context
Most modern media players (VLC, MPV, Plex, Jellyfin) include this as a core feature because subtitle timing variance is a common issue in digital media playback.

I'm away for the holidays, but i'll happily work on this when i'm back, i've already solved the IOS download related issues, for my personal usage just testing further, and will send in a pull.

• Question to Mr. Donut the Fladder man, downloads can be forced within app container like currently happens for android, or I could add further option cross platform to select download location (if device supports)

Yes if you would like to tackle that problem that would be great. Also feel free to make a PR for the initial download fix so people can test it.

@Jackisadev Truly found that bit very difficult to deal with, thanks a lot for taking it up. Sadly I am not very well versed with flutter but I will be more than happy to test it out!

Also, shout out to @PartyDonut This looks amazing! Have been using it for nearly 4 months now
