Ideas for a couple UI improvements / Features

Summary

Swipe to skip, Episode and Season information during playback, Picture in Picture support, compact UI.

Been loving this app so far. I've only used the mobile app for now, but it seems amazing. Love that the segments are clearly displayed, love all the customization options on how you interact with the player, how you are able to define buffer size for MPV, the seerr integration, etc. Feel free to ignore this as these aren't bugs and I think handling those should take precedent. Here's a few thing I miss from other player interfaces:

• Swipe to skip portions of video depending on how big the swipe is

Being able to double tap to skip segments is very nice, as well as the 2x during hold (probably the thing I miss the most from jellyfin app's native player) though the popup is kind of distracting as it shows up in the middle of the screen, the last thing I miss is swiping sideways on the screen to proportionally skip a certain amount. Of course this is something you can do by just tapping the progress bar, but this can be hard if you have a long video file, to not skip too much. At the same time skipping multiple times is much easier this way then tapping multiple times on the progress bar in certain situations.

• Episode and season information during playback (next to the show logo)

Really like using the logo of the media to show what is playing, but for shows having a little bit of text to show what season and episode you are currently on (ex S2:E03) would be great, sort of like it shows the full thing at the end of the video file during the outro/credits next to the the "next up" screen.

• Picture in picture support

I like being able to minimize the player to be able to keep playing the media and browse the ui at the same time, but I miss being able to exit the app entirely and keep the media playing in PiP mode. This allows you to browse other apps entirely during playback. Maybe I'm missing something, is there not a way to do this yet?

• Android Navigation Bar improvements

The navigation bar shifts the video during playback to the side for me every time I tap to open the player UI. The nav bar also blocks some UI elements when using the menus (like the settings save button being underneath the nav bar).

• Compact UI

I really love that I shows you the quality and streaming method right on the screen without having to click anywhere. The subtitle and audio track button icons are very nice and clear, but the center controls (skip and play buttons) feel very large in comparison, as well as the progress bar floating with a big gap between them. This one's really a nitpick as it doesn't change much because the ui hides itself anyways.

Basic Example

• Swipe to skip - skips an amount of time proportional to how big (long) the swipe was, maybe even allowing to keep skipping while the swipe is being held down.
• Episode and Season information - on the pause/control UI during playback it shows the current media as a logo from jellyfin, it would be nice to also have an option to display some compact information for Season/Episode info next to the logo or somewhere else on the screen.
• Picture in Picture - use the native android PiP feature to display media in PiP mode outside of the Fladder app.
• Android Navigation Bar - the Navigation Bar causes the video to shift if the player ui is opened during playback and it blocks some UI elements
• Compact UI - an option to use a more compact version of the player UI.

Drawbacks

The only drawbacks I can see is adding too many options could make the settings menu too crowded.

First of great choice in shows love Over the garden wall, really have to re-watch that sometime.

Now onto the actual discussion.

• Episode and season information during playback (next to the show logo)
  This is actually a bug that needs to be fixed.

• Android Navigation Bar improvements
  Also an actual bug

• Picture in picture mode
  No it's not available yet, the only "compact" player is having the ability to move the video player to the bottom. But that is only visible inside Fladder. That's what the small down arrow button is for on the top right.

Quite a few good remarks though, the player UI is something I need to revisit/revamp sometime also because dPad navigation is broken currently for the desktop/mobile players. So will take you suggestions into account.
