Description
The peak bars look much nicer with some interpolation. What I have set up is simple linear interpolation with two user defined values, the refresh rate of the meter / bar, and the peak-level sampling rate it samples from Windows.
Doesn't seem to have any extreme performance, and is entirely user-configurable, and furthermore only is active when the bars are active so it shouldn't be a concern.
Having these two values exposed is very useful because it lets a user set the "feel" of the peak bars to their hearts content.
EDIT: I would include a video but the snipping tool is locked at 30fps and I cannot be bothered to slog around getting a high framerate capture set up.
