[Bug] [1.9.2]: Single square brackets do not appear highlighted

What happened?

When editing inside of Obsidian text in single square brackets appears as the highlight color of the vault. [like this]. When exporting to HTML this does not happen.

unlike double square brackets this does not produce a link, but it is quite useful for highlighting certain text.

Reproduction

Open an obsidian vault. type some text in single square brackets.
Export and open the HTML file.
