Why should future technology learn rhythms and not optimize states?
Imagine trying to describe love by just measuring your heart rate and body temperature. Or that you want to save a degraded forest by only regulating soil moisture and CO₂ concentration. Sounds absurd? And yet this is exactly how most modern systems work: from artificial intelligence, through medicine, to life support technologies in space. They treat reality as a set of "states" - parameters that can be measured, saved in a database and optimized using an algorithm.
