Center search bar on firefox starpage not working

OS: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, with linux 6.8, and FF version 133.0.3 (64-bit) the top bar that hides works perfectly, but there is an issue with the new page bar. When selecting it with the mouse, the cursor shows up, but when writting, the letters don't appear.

Same here with Ubuntu 24.04.

For anyone still looking for a solution for this issue, here is what fixed it for me:

• open about:config in firefox
• search for: browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar
• set the value to false
