dealing with non-UKSI taxa #39

Description

@bwprice

this may be a tricky one...

There are going to be BINs that have UK specimens, but they aren't on our UKSI list:

This is likely to happen quite a bit so we need a way to show those BINs, without having to mess with UKSI.

Some options I can see:

  1. Ignore it, add caveat to website that has to be in UKSI to be visible here.

  2. If BIN matches a UKSI taxon name at a higher level (e.g. above species so subgenus and up) AND has UK specimens,

(a) Show it in the main UKSI tree somewhere like this:

Genus

  • Genus species 1
  • Genus species 2
  • Genus species 3
  • BOLD:ADX3262
  • BOLD:ADX3263

(b) Alternatively show it in another tree / page called "non-UKSI species" with the taxon hierarchy as in BOLD.
