Nicegui implementation

Nicegui is a more extensive alternative to streamlit. https://nicegui.io/ as it is more extensive and runs smoother locally.

As a proof of concept, implementing the file upload page in nicegui would be an asset to assess if this is a viable alternative.

What all functionalities do you want to see in that page ( that will help to distinguish ) , so i make sure i am able to implement them as well ?

Hi @t0mdavid-m , attached a sample file upload page using the nicegui(demo in video) I would like to know if you’d like to see any additions to test it further.

Also while reading the documentation , I found out that it has dynamic refresh and does not use st.rerun ( that streamlit uses ) that the issue i had to implement the functionality for the dark mode theme.

Thanks for the implementation! Could you show a video of you uploading a file? You could just move the example file to your desktop for illustrative purposes.

Looks good! Looks like the interface is quite responsive. @achalbajpai in your opinion how does this compare with the streamlit interface in terms of responsiveness, ease of implementation etc. Do you have this available on a branch/repo somewhere?

Yes it is @jcharkow , While reading the documentation also workign with it , I loved few things about nicegui -

1. As I mentioned above as well , real time updation where streamlit uses us to reload the page ( i read it uses websockets due which this is possible )
2. I have more options for the display ( specially for the pr i was working for dark/light theme - its way too good in this )
3. The resposiveness was way to smooth for my user experience , primarly because it uses Vue.js which is indeed a great framework for frontend

For the file upload page i can confidently feel a slight improvement in my experience while using it .
