When working on fine details or previewing an image, the the selection border can be visually distracting and obscure the pixels underneath.
I would like an option to toggle the visibility of the selection border without deselecting the current area. This could be implemented as a menu item under View > Selection Border and mapped to a default keyboard shortcut, such as Shift + `.
Currently, the only way to see the artwork clearly is to deselect (Ctrl + D), but this loses the active selection area, making it difficult to perform further edits on that specific region.
