Art request - T-shirt design for Talent at Events

How art requests work
By default, Lottie, Heidi & Daniel should be assigned to all art requests and the request will be added to the art project board. They will decide who will work on this brief and reassign as needed. You can check the project board for updates if needed.

If your request is genuinely urgent, please share in #team-marketing channel and mention Lottie, Heidi, Daniel, and/or Cory.

Outline

I discussed this with Lottie, but in short I would love to have T-Shirts for events as I'll be representing Talent at upcoming events. (If succesful this might expand)

The Ideal T-shirt would be very visible from a larger distance.

• No small and distinguished logo, but screaming at you (in a polite way).
• On the back a QR code that goes to the career page (I'll need to generate that)
• Clear text that show's I'm part of the Talent team and that we're hiring
• I personally like the 'we want you' style image the army used in the past, but of course update it to PostHog and friendlier
• IMHO go over the top and let max 'wrap around' the T-shirt

I added a terrible image to give a rough idea,, but you're the experts here!

Deadline & Priority

Preferrably before February. Event planning is not clear yet, but that's when it typically starts

Technical requirements

It needs to be printed on t-shirts. I have no expertise there

With Daniel Z scaling our presence at industry events and more PostHoggers take the stage, I’d like to propose a shift from creating "one-off" talent shirts to a standardized Official Team Member T-shirt.

Why the shift?
Clarity: Currently, it’s hard to distinguish a PostHog team member from a fan. Clear 'team member' merch ensures that when a team member is speaking or walking the floor, they are immediately recognizable as an employee who can answer questions and lead demos.

Design Efficiency: Rather than a high-effort design for a single person on the Talent Team, we create a high-impact, evergreen asset that works for the entire crew. It’s a "one-and-done" win for the design team.

Passive Lead Gen: Even when we aren't on stage, having a few people with distinct team member merch acts as a mobile billboard, drawing more eyes and conversations than a standard community tee.

The Vision
I’m imagining something that screams "PostHog" and states something like crew, team, or a better more fun way to state the person wearing it is a team member.

Logistics: We could host this in the merch store but keep the link "hidden" or password-protected for team members only, making fulfillment seamless?

@heidiberton this is what I was thinking...

3 items - all same design, one womens one mens and one unisex sweater moment- allowing whoever to feel comfy in the 'uniform'

I think it should be one tone and line art with a large PostHog in the center - wording around 'I WORK HERE' or 'I actually work for PostHog, talk to me' etc etc could be great

I also think the front should be also pretty eyecatching as the back too

I love that simple but catchy line. What about:

• Above the image / at the top : 'I actually work at PostHog'
• The logo
• At the bottom: 'Talk with me'!'

Almost like a massive stamp maybe? > a stamp of approval that the person wearing the merch works at PostHog.

Definitely agree on an eye catching front!
