You can already manipulate the stress values directly as in the example below. Are you referring to the stress effects like screen blur etc?

I also would like this change - we'd like to replace the HUD with a different plugin, and stress being at least partially reliant on qbx-hud makes it more difficult.
(I could probably modify qbx-hud to disable the HUD bits, but at least to me it makes more sense that stress is handled in the same place as the other basic needs)
