Thanks for reporting this, I am unfortunately not able to reproduce this myself.

Does this error also occur if you click default mode, but then go back and untick the Disable Search Highlights in the taskbar search box option?

EDIT: I have updated the script to no longer apply the Disable_Search_Highlights setting, as it's already implicitly disabled by another setting anyway. Could you try to run the default settings again? If the script succeeds now we can at least narrow it down to this setting.

Are you all using a personal install of Windows? Also, is there any program that could maybe lock these registry changes for you?

Yep，I upgraded from the Chinese version for home to the professional version, and I don't know much about the registration form

Thanks for the info. I have tried installing the chinese version of windows. Same version as in the screenshot, but I am unable to reproduce this. I will continue to investigate
