November 2025 User Testing

Hi everyone,
We conducted a round of testing with our test app with a new group of screen reader users (a mixture of youth coders, adults and AT professionals) on changes in the experimental branch (up to Nov 17 2025). Screen readers used were (Chrome + JAWS) and (Safari + VoiceOver).

Here is a summary of the feedback given:

Key Pain Points

• Audio feedback on copy and paste
  Seems like this will be solved soon with #9524.
  There is currently a toast for copied blocks but are there any plans to add a toast when a block is pasted? The block is being read out currently when it's pasted, but it doesn't seem like a clear enough indication seeing as it is the same read out as the block that's being copied.
• Difficulty differentiating field inputs (#9497 should help)
• Difficulty differentiating repeating blocks (#764(comment) should help)
• Inputs described as button (the customizable aria labels could address this)
• Repeated announcements not announced
