keyboard mapping incorrect? (COMMAND=OPTION)

Hi there, Somehome my COMMAND key is not passed through VNC. Any ideas how this can be? Tried removing the VNC keymapping without any luck.
All normal keys and when pressing shift are working just fine. Its only the COMMAND key that is not coming through.
When I connect to a real macbook via screen sharing (standard VNC app on my macbook), the COMMAND key is working without issues.

EDIT: rewrite. issue is only with the COMMAND key not being passed correctly.
