I previously used a very old version from you for the klipper-backup.
So I freshly installed the new one and moved the other to trash.
Installation went fine - approved all the default settings

once I execute the script I get the errors below.

Any idea?

Try the --fix parameter.

If the issue still occurs please give us the --debug output. This is btw an issue, not a discussion.

Hi,
for me the issue is reproducible:

1. create new repository in GIT and create fine grained access token for this repo
2. install klipper-backup via kiauh
3. my git user name = markusbrand
4. my git repository name = klipper-backup (do I need to use markusbrand/klipper-backup or just klipper-backup? - I already tried both, but didn't work)
5. installation succeeded
6. edit .env and just backup printer.cfg file for now
7. execute script.sh - then I get the error messages with 'not a git repository'
8. execute script.sh --fix - executes successfully
9. execute script.sh - same issue again

The git repository name is just klipper-backup or whatever your repository is called. No need to add the username.

You said, you edit the .env file after the installation. What did you changed?

Maybe try to delete the config_backup sudo rm -r ~/config_backup and re-run the installation.

doesn't matter if I change .env. Same error appears if I don't. The only thing I changed is to replace

I did now also delete the config_backup. Then I deleted klipper-backup directory and installed again. Same issue ....

2. started kiauh and uninstalled klipper-backup
3. installed klipper-backup via kiauh
4. execute script.sh in klipper-backup
5. same errors again

Also could you run bash -x script.sh you will need to copy it into a text editor and omit your token wherever it is present.

@Tylerjet config_backup is not in steamcmd folder. sorry for confusion. I just was in this folder when I executed thls command but it was with the fully qualified location, so doesn't matter from which folder I call it: ls -la ~/config_backup

In klipper I get warnings. How should the moonracker.conf entry should look like? Can this be related?

Hrmm, Can you try fully deleting the klipper-backup repo/folder, the config_backup folder, and then do a reboot (should clear the folder in tmp), then do a fresh install of klipper backup, and run the install script, don't change any settings in .env besides the ones you get prompted for during installation and then run the backup and see what happens
