Description
This question is related to the issue I opened in steveturbek/SunPower-PVS-Supervisor#1. My goal is to correctly calculate what is reported as "home consumption" in the SunStrong app.
It appears that to calculate "home consumption" for a given day, I should sample /sys/livedata/net_en at the beginning and end of that day and take their difference. By doing so I'm able to get values that match "home consumption" in the SunStrong app (and also match what my local utility company reports). However, I'm a bit confused by the definition given for this variable at https://github.com/SunStrong-Management/pypvs/blob/main/doc/varserver-variables-public.csv:
/sys/livedata/net_en = "Net Consumption Energy (kWh)"
I would have thought this means "home consumes minus solar production". My question is simply to clarify the meaning of /sys/livedata/net_en and verify that taking the difference over a day should in fact calculate "home consumption"?
Thanks!
