hi,
I love Marktext!
suggestion 1:
spell checking could be enabled on per-file basis
You have already made a display spelling errors option!!!
I'm not totally sure what that's meant for,
but my guess is that it could be set for a given file (?)
Anyway, It would be good (what good: GREAT!) if some docs could have the spell checker ON while others OFF ...
Cause not all MD documents are "creative text", 50% of them are notes :)
perhaps a "note mode" could be enabled per document? (the same thing)
2. spell checking could be available in context menu...
otherwise in "view"... under the modes...
3. appimage -- "application icon" in panel
(talking about linux, of course -> appimage)
Right now I see a window preview "only" in the "window buttons" panel-thing...
However, when the preferences window is open, it has a perfect Marktext logo icon..
It's not a vital thing, but I thought I'd mention it...
okay, plus 1: date in the first line, automatically
This one is off in the open seas :)
I have made about a hundred notes in the past years, text-only... in a dedicated directory, cloud-synced independently...
Now I've turned them into .md files... and love them like this!!!
Some of them had a date "stamp" in it... (I had added something like 05/06 20, and I can't figure if it's May or June :))
Either way, I realized I love to see when it was created and perhaps later edited..
With a python script I added the last mod date in the first line of each...
with a "> " beforehand...
and they all look awesome!
I have a script now to check if it is present in the first line... and add if not...
BUT I believe that everybody might love this thing :) :)
That's why I thought I would mention it :)
5. last but not least
It has already crossed my mind that since pretty many Marktext editors coexist,
you could perhaps rename yours :)
(I know, the others should be renamed :))I
Anyway I think a prefix would do...
And I do have a good idea about that... If you think about doing that, I'll tell you in a PM :)
Well, congratulation, again.. !!!
and thank you !!! in the name of all people in the Markdown culture :)
Peter
