Regressions between 0.1.11 and 0.1.12

So far 2 regressions were spotted, namely #1208 and #1209.

Given these are quite impactful, I'll be releasing another version of the package shortly (2 to 3 weeks from now).

In meantime, if you find other regression, please create issues with the title starting with "0.1.12 regression: ". These issues will be addressed with priority
