SUBSCRIPTIONS ERROR: http 403

I copy-pasted everything as usual, and I'm getting the 403 error each time. I set VERBOSITY = 3 and I get this:

I triple checked my credentials, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Yes, I've started getting this same error today. It's been working fine until now. Something must have changed on the server side to break the script.

It tells you to set the variable in that file. The readme tells you to how to build that file, by copying the top portion of session_vars.py to the new file. It's all there for you.

Not sure what you're asking - it should handle:

RULESURL = "https://some.url/dir/subdir/rulesfile.json"

or

RULESURL = "file:///some/local/dir/somewhere/rulesfile.json"

I've been testing different Linux distributions and find that certain distros, at least with mostly-default options, will always give the 403 error (same as the first post), even though the script file has working credentials, and in fact I use the exact same .py file (with credentials in the file) on all distros and it works on some but not on others.

Works: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Fedora, Debian (with xfce desktop environment, if that matters), Bazzite, Linux Mint Debian Edition 7
Doesn't work: Xubuntu, Linux Mint 22.2, Zorin OS

Any idea what's different in the distros where it doesn't work, or something I can do to troubleshoot?

@davidgarcial here is the rule file. It worked for me by replacing dynamic_rules with contents in the linked file.

I've been avoiding directly linking to any rules because of separation of church and state. This repo does get watched by outside parties, and you don't want to be accused of facilitating untoward activities.

That said, you can link directly to that file by copying the url from the "raw" version and using that as the RULESURL

And there are many others around. Just search.
