instantupdate needs refactoring to cope with socket server outage #225
Description
During some critical maintainance https://twitter.com/webconverger/status/656963368247427072 a customer complains:
They kept opening up new tabs over and over until there was a kernel panic error.
Yeah I rebooted them and they would just open new tabs over and over
until they gave the error on a black screen.
Had 5 stations all do the same thing. I had to revert back to our
previous software for the night. I will check them in the morning to see
if they are working.
