🚀 mqtt-proxy v1.6.5 is now live!

Just published a new release focused heavily on queue stability and hardware config fidelity! If your node sits on a busy broker or bridges a ton of traffic, this update is for you.

✨ Key Updates

• Drop-Oldest Queue Strategy: We completely replaced the underlying transmission buffer with a thread-safe collections.deque and a drop-oldest eviction rule. When traffic spikes or the queue backs up, the proxy will now automatically discard stale, backed-up messages first! This guarantees that only the absolutely freshest GPS/traffic packets make it to your radio so latency never stacks up.
• Strict Channel Pass-Through Filters: We added a new environment variable MESH_ALLOW_UNCONFIGURED_CHANNELS (defaults to true). If you set this to false, the proxy will strictly enforce your hardware's capabilities and drop any MQTT message that tries to traverse a channel index your node hasn't explicitly configured. No more accidental cross-talk!
• Robust Reconnects: Addressed a race-condition bug where the queue worker thread wouldn't start up correctly if the proxy was started while the physical node was disconnected. The proxy now fully self-heals its internal buffers whenever the hardware connects or resets.
• Cleaner Release Notes: Hardened our GitHub action parsers—Release pages on the repo are much cleaner now going forward!
