Seraph's source size exceeds GitHub Pages's capacity. It also has an invalid byte sequence in UTF-8 error that causes the jekyll build to fail.

Either way, even after converting the .md files to .bin the github pages building just times out and doesn't let you deploy it to github pages, simply due to the sheer size.

I'm a master at this kind of stuff so here is how to fix this issue as well as others you might happen to run into.

• Issue #1: Invalid byte sequnce stuff
  This issue happens because by default, github also makes MD formatted files displayable in the web through jekyll which converts Markdown files into webpages.
  There is no need to have Markdown webpages in this instance though, so to fix, all you have to do is add a file named .nojekyll and that will tell github not to use jekyll when deploying,

• Issue #2; Source code is too large to deploy with
  I fixed this by deploying with a different hosting provider. I really recommend using Vercel as it has support for having multiple domains per project all for free (subdomain isn't restricted to only being your username)
  Vercel does have trouble when the source code is over 10GB though.
  That is why I had switched to Netlify which easily deployed my 12GB fork of seraph (check it out, its amazing, it has a utilities tab with hacks, pr0xies, roblox, undertale, and tons more)

There is no need to not use jekyll, rather it's better if you use jekyll since it has many upsides, such as beautifying links (seraph.com/games/index.html ==> seraph.com/games)

just rename the files ending .md that are not formatted correctly to .bin and edit the corresponding game html files as well, ejs can read .bin files i still have no clue why a456pur made it .md.

I'm using netlify too as of now. But originally, being able to host on github-pages was hindrance free.

I also think that seraph would greatly benefit and decrease overall file sizes by using a framework such as astro, which automatically minfies files upon build. It would also be better overall in modularity. But since seraph has tons of code, I understand it would be a pain rewriting everything into astro,

@superredeyeball stop pinging also, your fork doesnt introduce much features. You just added a few games and some random exploit's instructions. I feel like this is not the place for this in seraph, rather as a standalone website, better alternatives are https://ext-remover.net/

the ui of seraph is already horrible, it's supposed to be a image cenetered ux, adding just pure text makes it practically unreadable and not asthetically appealing. I feel as the way seraph is built already right now, it feels a bit bloated, adding more bloat does nothing but harm.

Well do you have any good ideas on what good UI is in your opinion? I would like to see and possibly implement it myself.

Honestly you could start by overall changing the big borders and the innate center alignment of text, rather use like a minimum size for the container - (kinda like how this website looks like https://newcss.net/), and then just simply remove the bloat looking things, improve the game cards so that it looks better, style the elements like dropdowns and other things. Honestly, I recommend, if you DO have the time first porting this whole website to astro, then styling it, as it would run much faster and you'd have an easier time maintaining it from then.

@superredeyeball i've noticed an issue with both mine and your seraph builds, they both simply dont allow the offline feature.
