Niri blur

Just yesterday, I decided to try niri and started transferring the configuration from hyprland. I wanted to make a blur for walker, but I encountered a problem:

In hyprland, this is solved using ignore_alpha, but there is no such option in niri:


In the niri chat, I was told "they need to implement ext-background-effect"
As I understand it, this is some kind of wayland protocol, but I don't understand much about it.

Walker is not concerned with any rendering. It uses GTK4.

Not sure what it could implement here...
