Testing database migrations

I there any way how to test db migrations?
I think something like:

// migrate, but stop before the tested migration
const migrator = new MigrationRunner(db, app, {
                direction: 'up',
                dryRun: false,
                connectionName: 'postgres',
                targetMigration: 'last_executed_migration' // the last executed migration
            });

await migrator.run()

// add testing data

const migrator2 = new MigrationRunner(db, app, {
                direction: 'up',
                dryRun: false,
                connectionName: 'postgres',
                migrations: ['tested_migration'] // run only these migrations
            });

await migrator2.run();

// asserts etc.
