FMChat is the standalone desktop chat application in the FMTools ecosystem.

It is a separate product surface from the Python toolkit:
- distributed as a Homebrew cask / app artifact
- optimized for local chat UX, persistence, export, and resume
- version-locked with
fmtools, but not the same install path
Requirements:
- macOS 26+ on Apple Silicon
- local Foundation Model availability
