It would be very useful to have some git info (branch, changes,..) in the bar

The script https://github.com/git/git/blob/master/contrib/completion/git-prompt.sh for instance update the shell prompt with some info

This is not a priority for me, but I'll leave the issue up incase anyone else wants to implement it.
