-bash flag failures in KOALA from the future branch

Running command:

export KOALA_SHELL="$PASH_TOP --width 4 --bash" 

(--width doesn't really matter)

Scripts using this expansion “$1” fail in all ways with --bash (see previous issue)

Validation errors (execute.sh was successful):

Bio: validate.sh fails for scripts: image_convert, thumbnail
Ci-cd : validate.sh fails for: memcached
Oneliners: validate.sh fails for: sort, sort-sort, unique-ips, spell
repl :validate.sh produced the following error for ALL KOALA_SHELL attempts (even without –bash) :

 Expected to be on 'bench_branch', but found 'main'

Other errors using --bash (execute.sh failed)
