How to hide country flag image and only show country code (+1, +92, +91) in dropdown and in selected place

In our use case, we don't store the country details, and as multiple countries like USA, Canada share same country code (+1) it can be misleading to user. Is there a option to remove the flag being rendered from the input. We can have it in the dropdown. We tried manipulating CSS but it looks bad.
