Kindle Scribe 1st Gen - Blank pages

I have been using KCC for quite a long time now, and since a few months I would say, I have some blank pages, or sometimes only one quarter of the page that is blank.

I haven't changed my settings, and even reverting to an older version doesn't fix the problem, so I guess it's an update on the Kindle Software side that has created this mess...

I have tried epub, via SendToKindle.

I have tried mobi files, via USB in the Document folder.

Using KCC on Windows 11.

Currently using KCC 9.4.2

Some people say uncheck cropping fixes and only use mobi fixes issue @FlorentMartinPilot

So happy :)

So now it's mobi, jpeg and nocrop.

I guess Kindle Scribe doesn't like wider images that result from cropping? Just speculating.

@FlorentMartinPilot Has this completely solved the issue for you? I ended up returning my 2025 Scribe because I could not find a combination of settings that didn't result in frequent blanking, and manga reading was like 50% of my intended use for the thing.

On the last manga I read, the issue was fixed, unchecking the crop option.

But I can't say for sure that all the mangas will work just fine.

It looks like it anyway.

As the kcc dev, the scribe 2022 has been perfect. Based on user feedback the 2024 is the same. Only 2025 has problems.

Thanks both of you. Maybe I'll pick up a 2024 model. Substantially cheaper too!

I have a Scribe 2022 and I did some tests. Setting the quality to 70% of the JPG, I didn't see any blank pages. Even with the cropping option enabled. Maybe this isn't your test...
