Flatpak version won't start

Running from terminal gives this error:

flatpak run io.github.ciromattia.kcc
ERROR: PySide 6.0.0+ is not installed!

Guessing the package maintainers forgot to include something.

I see this issue too, running on Fedora 43. I tried rolling back to 9.4.3 as well as 9.3.8 but I see the same error.

Getting the same here, also on Fedora 43. Tried installing and running through the Discover store at first so I didn't even see the PySide error until I came here, I do see it when I try running it through the terminal. Macbook works fine though so I'll be using it there for now.

Forgot to update this earlier but the AppImage version does work just fine! I'm just, unfortunately, trying to get color manga (or even just B/W manga with the cover in color) on a Kindle Scribe Colorsoft so I'm naturally running into blank images no matter what I try doing that isn't a PDF. But besides that it's working fine, I might need to start questioning how much I care about color manga on this thing.

Unfortunately the blank problem on 2025 scribes is well reported and unsure if it's fixable.

I believe this is a flatpak build issue (https://github.com/flathub/io.github.ciromattia.kcc)

According to AI

The pyside.yaml builds PySide from source but doesn't properly install it. The main problem is that the build command runs python3 setup.py install but the working directory context isn't correct for the PySide source. Also, PySide6 needs to be added to the kcc-pypi-dependencies.yaml since that's where the other Python dependencies are installed.

I think it is very likely to be caused not by the code in the flatpak build script. I think it is better to open the ticket over there.

Seems that we need to keep tracking qt updates in runtime, as pyside depending on private api.

Flatpak version is working fine now! Opened with no problem, was able to use it with no issues.
