This would be great. If calculations from input macronutrient data (protein, lipid, carbs) are possible in the program then they could be converted to approximate caloric content using Atwater factors. |

Yeah, definitely this was one of my biggest motivators to start Cooklang. It's paradoxical that while the nutrition balance is so important for the health, we have very little feedback on how we're doing. Slowly we're getting there. But first we need to figure out different units and ingredient density. |

It's been quite some time since this was discussed. Are there any concrete steps you might suggest someone could take to help push this forward? I'm willing to spend some time trying to contribute! |

Nutritional aspects depend on the actual ingredients. Maybe a link with https://world.openfoodfacts.org/ on the client would be interesting? And don't forget https://prices.openfoodfacts.org/ for the store/aisle info and purchasing price. |

I just discovered Cooklang and it looks awesome ! It seems to me that there are two different things discussed here, how to get the information and how to store them in the file. As proposed previously, I think the metadata would be the place, something like: which is what is already done when parsing a HelloFresh recipe with cook.md. |

It'd be great to specify the nutrition of each ingredient and have that be tabulated to the total nutrition and per serving nutrition.
