Window auto-refresh?

Is there a way to auto-refresh a window when the file content is updated, a la Notepad++? The General | ... "Ask to resolve" setting doesn't seem to work as expected, and neither does "Update to modified version". File is on a local network Linux machine and is updated periodically by a script running on that smb server.
