Hotkeys not working in Wayland

Current Behavior

Since Ubuntu 26.04 defaults to wayland I ran into the issue where the message, "Firebot is unable to register this hotkey, because it is already taken by another application." appears no matter what keybind is set in the hotkeys.

Expected Behavior

To be able to use a keybind as a hotkey

Steps To Reproduce

1. Use a linux distro with wayland and try to configure a keybind in hotkeys

The fix

Force firebot to use x11 by using the CLI

firebotv5 --ozone-platform=x11

Yeah, this is a known limitation with nut.js, the library we use for hotkeys.

My mistake, my brain was working backwards. Hotkeys are set in Electron, not nutjs. @ebiggz put in a fix that should workaround this issue starting with the next release.
