Contributor License Agreement (CLA)

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the GCtrl Project ("Project"). This Contributor License Agreement ("CLA") sets the terms under which your contributions are made to the Project, which is released under the GNU General Public License, version 3 (GPL v3.0).

1. Definitions

1.1 "Contribution" means any original work, including modifications or additions to existing work, that you submit to the Project, in any form (e.g., code, documentation, designs).

1.2 "You" or "Contributor" refers to the individual or legal entity making the Contribution.

2. Grant of Rights

2.1 License to Use Contributions: By submitting a Contribution, you grant the maintainers of the Project (the "Maintainers") a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contribution as part of the Project. These rights are provided under the GPL v3.0 license.

2.2 Patent Rights: You grant to the Maintainers and recipients of the Project a license to your patent claims that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution, under the same terms as the GPL v3.0.

3. Contributor Representations

You represent and warrant that:

  • Your Contribution is an original work or appropriately licensed to you.
  • You have the legal right to make this Contribution under the terms of this CLA.
  • Your Contribution does not violate the rights, including intellectual property rights, of any third party.
  • Your Contribution complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Copyright Ownership: You retain ownership of the copyright in your Contribution.

4.2 License for Inclusion: You grant the Maintainers the right to incorporate your Contribution into the Project and distribute it under the GPL v3.0 license.

5. Miscellaneous

5.1 Termination: This agreement is effective as of the date of your Contribution and will remain in effect unless terminated by mutual agreement.

5.2 Amendments: The Maintainers reserve the right to modify this CLA. Any changes will be communicated, and your continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

5.3 Jurisdiction: This agreement shall be governed by the laws of [Your Country/State].

Acknowledgment

By making a Contribution to the GCtrl Project, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of this Contributor License Agreement.
