continuous error messages when music is playing

Hi!

I opened dbgview when music was playing via WASAPI [exclusive] and noticed a continuous stream of messages:
WinSoftVol: WdfRequestRetrieveUnsafeUserInputBuffer() failed with status 0xc0000023
WinSoftVol: WdfRequestRetrieveUnsafeUserInputBuffer() failed with status 0xc0000023
WinSoftVol: WdfRequestRetrieveUnsafeUserInputBuffer() failed with status 0xc0000023
...
...

I'm pretty sure that these messages were not getting triggered some time ago but has started only lately. The messages stop when music is stopped.

Do you know what sets these off? Something has changed but for the life of me I can't figure out what. Any pointers on what to look for?

I don't think I ever tested WinSoftVol with WASAPI Exclusive. It's not too surprising that the behavior would be different in this case because a WASAPI Exclusive client does not behave the same, from a KS perspective, than the Windows shared engine. I'm not sure about this particular problem, though.
