Samsung Editor Compatibility

I recently switched to a Samsung S24 and set up Aves gallery but I ran into an issue when going to edit photos and videos. When the choice is given to choose an editor application there's no option for the phone's default editor through the gallery. This was no problem on my last device (Google Pixel), is there an incompatibility with Samsung specifically or am I just missing something?

Yes, the Samsung editor is only usable through other Samsung apps (like their gallery). It's how they designed it. Nothing 3rd party apps can do about it.
