Air Traffic Control example doesn't display in Marimo

Context

I expected to download the Jupyter notebook for the Air Traffic Control and see an animation similar to the one embedded in the top.

Has the behavior of this layer changed in recent minor releases?

As an aside, I'd really just like to use IntSlider or marimo's slider directly to scroll forward and backward in time rather than have it play.

Resulting behaviour, error message or logs

The map rendered correctly but without data for the entirety of the animate range. I tried it differently by calling the Play widget directly with a jslinked IntSlider and that didn't produce data either.

Environment

• OS: macOS Tahoe
• BrowserIDE: Jupyter, Quarto, marimo
• Lonboard Version: v0.13.0

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Downloaded https://developmentseed.org/lonboard/latest/examples/air-traffic-control/
2. Ran all cells

I can't reproduce with

uvx juv run examples/air-traffic-control.ipynb

which is the only officially-supported method of running the examples.

It's possible that this is a bug on the marimo side, that they don't support some sort of Jupyter widget interaction that this expects.

You can do anything that modifies the timestamp on the layer. The animation helpers are only helpers, but you have full access to any of the underlying attributes to change rendering options.
