Contradiction between location of Database in Linux

Database location on Linux:

states: From version 2.1.0.108, this location is avoided and the location /var/lib/Duplicati is used instead, if possible.

Contadicts with

Using Server as a Service

Note: the service runs in the root user context, so files will be stored in /root/.config/Duplicati on most systems, but in /Duplicati on other systems. Use the DAEMON_OPTS to add --server-datafolder= if you want a specific location.

So where are the files stored? I hope in /var/lib/Duplicati (since 2.1.0.108)
Documentation shall be clarified.
