None of the original authors are active on this and I'm not aware of anyone else working on it

There is interest, but it will take some time to familiarize with this project.

There should be...

The code is pretty solid, but needs more work to add features. The original authors work in different spaces now (they're free to correct me), but this is a solid base to work on.
